Alexis Puebla's Professional Portfolio
Editor & Content Marketing Strategist | Meredith Corporation, August 2017 - Present
I worked as a full-time editor for More.com producing buzz-worthy articles about the latest fashion tips, beauty tricks, and lifestyle advice for the trendsetter looking for guidance on how to rock her style and her career. I also served as the lead social media strategist for the More brand, where I was responsible for creating the content calendar for the Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest accounts as well as maintaining relationships with outside PR companies for product features.
I also served as a contributing editor for a number of editorial websites within the Consumer Revenue SHOP team including Better Homes & Gardens, Shape, Parenting, and Fitness Magazine. I primarily specialized in content marketing by working with outside brands to feature paid placements in the form of editorial articles, social media posts, and newsletter inclusions for the digital Meredith brands.
Marketing Manager | OrderUp from Groupon, December 2015 - August 2017
During and after college I worked for the online and mobile food delivery service known as OrderUp in Iowa City, IA. I aided in 152% year-over-year order volume growth from 2015 to 2016
and helped generate over 19,000 new users for OrderUp in the year 2016. I have experience building a brand strategy, creating cohesive marketing campaigns that coincide with promotional offerings, and managing all the different facets of a marketing department such as budget, event planning and promotion, social media, and ROI analysis. Halfway through my time at OrderUp, I inherited an additional market in Providence, Rhode Island which required monthly travel, strong organizational skills, top-notch communication abilities, and a wide sense of creativity.
My role included maintaining a full email and social media calendar where I was responsible for producing and pushing 4 emails a week and daily social media posts. Because my two markets were located in college towns, we put a heavy emphasis on field marketing tactics to get students excited about the idea of getting their favorite restaurants delivered. From hosting Lunch & Learns with local businesses to holding door hanging campaigns in the summertime to hosting midnight pizza parties in the library—there was never a dull moment while being on the OrderUp team.
